I love making T-Shirt quilts for my clients. What a great way to enjoy your shirts from High School, College or from your travels. Each quilt consists of stabilizer added to the back of the shirt to keep it shape and the quilt is backed with really soft sweatshirt fleece. So cozy! Just in time for Fall. These make wonderful gifts. Prices are $12.50 per shirt or $25 per shirt if you want me to use the front and the back. What can I make for you?

This handsome bag was a special request from a young man finishing his last year in college. He wanted a bag he could carry a laptop along with notebooks and pens. I included a monogram on the front for personalization and uniqueness. Inside I added a divider pocket for his laptop with a snap closure. A pocket for his phone and keys and holders for a few pens. Another request was to have a belt included so he can strap the bag to his suitcase for travel. The removable shoulder strap allows for the bag to be carried by the top handle. I absolutely love creating unique items for my clients. What can I make for you? +spool

Iā€™m so excited to share this lovely bag. We had enough leather to make 2 full zip around wallets with wristlets. Special Fatherā€™s Day bag for the man who makes this all possible. This rugged bag will hold 2 bottles of your favorite liquor or wine safely. There is a carry handle at the top and it comes with a removable shoulder strap. It can also be made into a backpack. Inside there is a removable foam insert covered in felt to protect the bottles while inside the bag. Pricing starts at $350 as shown and $400 with removable shoulder strap and $425 made into a backpack.

It's wedding season, love is in the air ā¤ļø Did you know that I make purses out of wedding dresses? Such a special way to use those wedding dresses we've had boxed up from the day we wore them. Each purse is unique, just like the dress itself. Purses are made with your choice of frame, gold, silver or gunmetal. I include a personalized embroidered message inside, and a dust bag for safe keeping. When my son got married, I made his wife a purse using my dress and her mom's dress combined. I also made her veil out of the train of her Mom's dress, but that will be another post lol. Please forward my name to anyone getting married that is looking for a unique, special gift.

A little more about Sage + Spool. Iā€™ve been making and selling bags, purses, t-shirt quilts, wedding purses, robes etc for several years. During that time it was under the same umbrella as my embroidery company B&R Embroidery. I wanted a way to distinguish my sewing from the embroidery so I held a family contest to come up with a brand name for my leather goods and all my sewing items. The winner would receive a leather bag of their choice. I had a lot of great names to choose from and I settled on Sage + Spool which was Kenadi Johnson idea. She looked through all my patterns and decided on a lovely backpack made out of black leather. It was so much fun creating this bag for her. It comes with an interior zipper pocket and several slip pockets. The exterior also includes an zipper pocket on the front and a slip pocket as well. The frame sewn in the lining at the top allows the bag to stay open when unzipped and keep the shape when zipped.
