I was just reading how St Valentine wasn’t actually a murderous thug like I had always heard and was actually an enemy of the state for marrying people behind closed doors against the wishes of the ruling class. Ebony wood is the theme of this week.
Thinking about leaving the next batch unfinished. It's such a dense, hard, smooth, wood It doesn't need much protection. Anyway, this batch is available 1/4/26 @ 2pm EST in my Etsy shop. Cheers to 2026.

OMG!!! Huge score for me. What you are looking at is about 300 African Ebony Guitar fretboard blanks rejected by back in, from what I have gathered, the 60's. I came across about 20 of these 6-7 months ago
and have been creating with and loving using them. It does not look like much in the back of my truck, but give it a little ride on the sanding belt and it turns into something special. (2nd Picture). I got these from a relative of one of the most famous Gibson luthiers James "Hutch" Hutchins, which is also just awesome. They threw in those blocks of mahogany as well!!! I see stories of people having cool wood scores all the time but, for me, this beats all of those.
