Hello Rose Jewelers Family!

We are back open to normal scheduled hours! Drop on in for any repairs, gold selling, and consultations. On a plus note, our turnaround time for repairs is slightly reduced, so come on in for quick friendly service!

A couple updates:

We have another addition to the Rose Jewelers family here! Sarah joined us a few weeks ago and will be helping with the benches. She is a certified bench jeweler through NASJ, and she's got years of experience working for high end stores down south. Her family wanted to make the move to MI and I was lucky enough to add her to the team, so say hello next time you drop in!

Chrissy went down to NASJ and tested for her certification as a comprehensive stone setter to put under her list of credentials! The setters she studied under are some of the best in the world, so were looking forward to her bringing some of those techniques back here to our shop!

Our books are open for new custom, including using customer supplied gold and stones, so feel free to call if you are looking for something new.

We are going to be reaching out to a lot of jobs that are still awaiting approval this week, so if you have a piece you have had designed finished up, we are going to be putting those on the benches in the order they are approved.

Thank you all for keeping our little shop busy, and thank you for patience while we closed up for a week. I was out of town with the family for my kids spring break, and being short handed we had to close up due to insurance restraints.

Hey Rose Jewelers Family!
I need your help!

I am setting up a partnership with a major diamond and gemstone distributer. What they will allow us to do is let our customers shop diamonds, lab grown, and gemstones from all over the world, through our website! I have been working with them for some time now, but this is designed to allow you all to do some shopping of your own for those of you that prefer to sip some coffee and stare and shiny things!

Keep in mind, this is the open source, so there are awesome diamonds if you know what you are looking for, but also some dogs in there, and the price will usually reflect that.

As always, if you want me to find an amazing diamond at fair prices, I will always prefer to do the legwork for you, but this gives you control if you'd like. I have my personal vendors that we've been working with for 40 years, and am happy to find and recommend perfect stones for you if you would rather have a professional opinion, plus I like to just chat, and the coffees warm.

What I ask, is that you give it a trial run. Don't need to order anything, just play with the finder a little bit and let me know if you have any issues! It's taken some time to get it going, and it's the first step in us going live with Kalamazoo's first brand of jewelry, that's actually made right here in Kalamazoo! I hope to get that up and running by April, but right now we are testing some things to make sure it works!

Just shoot me a message or comment below. I'm open to criticism, in fact I'm hoping for some. In the end, it's built for you all, so it's your opinion that matters. Can't wait to add our mountings to it!

Good Morning Rose Jewelers Family!

Gold broke $5000, and Silver broke $100 per oz!

We are still buying lots of gold and silver over the counter. Prices vary based on the scrap. If you have some gold or silver you aren't wearing, metals are at historic highs right now! Feel free to call if you have questions regarding payout and percentages.

Precious metals are doing some crazy things. Do not ask me for my insight, because it is like tossing a dart at the wall! Because of this we need to make a few changes to our policies this year until it cools down.

Estimates for custom work going forward from today will be valid for 1 week after we send the email. If you received an estimate an within the last 2 weeks, we will still uphold that. In order for us to get started we need to have the half down deposit, I will not purchase the metals for the project until we do. There are just too many jobs coming in that we cannot speculate them going forward with todays costs. We do appreciate all of the work!

We are going to be slowing down how many jobs we take in using customer supplied stones and gold until we can get some more help on board. The reason being is that we have a lot of orders of our own pieces going out right now and we want to use our time to focus on those. Using supplied pieces to create is very time consuming, and we are very busy. If you want to get on our schedule, please call and schedule an appointment. We are currently into February for customer supplied pieces.

Thank you for all of the continued work! At some point we will post all of the projects that we remembered to capture from last year, it was by far our busiest year in history. So from the bottoms of our little team's hearts, thank you!

And lastly, for our goals this year we are planning on expanding the shop a little bit to allow for more working space and equipment to be able to help with the work flow. We will be expanding our website to have our designs available to purchase as well as allow you to use the same tools other online vendors use to shop for diamonds and gemstones, but pre-vetted for our quality! We will hopefully have the website up and running by Spring, and break ground on our new expansion when we get approval!
