Ocean Leis offers original puka shell jewelry. This jewelry is handmade on Kaua’i with shells collected, for the most part, between 16 and 12 years ago.
In the last 10 years or so, natural puka shells on Kaua’i have become increasingly rare.
Each piece of Ocean Lei jewelry is unique and has required many, many hours of picking, washing, sorting, selecting and studious arrangement.
Some are fashioned in the traditional designs, others are made into more modern and original designs created by Barbara Inglis.
They are offered for sale in limited numbers until the shell collection lasts. They are intended for those who appreciate the rare and unique feel/energy of these beautiful products of our oceans in hopes that they will be enjoyed, admired and that they will produce an increase in the appreciation and care for our ocean ecosystems.
