I have always been such a busy bee! Even in middle school, I was into everything. Things only became more hectic when I got my license in high school. Church, band, chorus, handbells, home ec, student council, French club, and drama club kept me busy. It wears me out even thinking about it and I'm pretty sure there are things I'm not even remembering. I guess I've always been an "artsy" kid. I con
tinued my busy schedule with work, school, church commitments, etc. into my young adult years. This past year I've been juggling full time nursing school, clinical hours, full time work, full time choir directing, and a relationship. I've barely had time to breathe it seems like. I'm sure you're wondering what any of this has to do with my shop... well, I'm getting to that! In November of 2014 life got in the way of all my plans. I was involved in a head on collision wreck. I ended up breaking both bones in my right leg, 7 ribs, had several bumps and bruises, and my car was totaled. Eventually with this, my relationship came to an end as well as my dreams of nursing(for now at least). I suddenly found myself stuck in a hospital bed with nothing to do but feel sorry for myself. I may have even started comparing myself to Job from the Bible. One day, I decided it was time to stop throwing a pity party and finding something to occupy my time instead. After all, Job still praised God through his circumstances and (if you haven't read it..) trust me, he dealt with a lot worse than I did! God spared my life the day I wrecked. Things could've easily been a lot worse. I've always loved crafting but it's always been something I've not had a lot of time to do. So I slowly started knitting because it didn't include a ton of movement. From there, as I've began to heal, I started expanding my crafting. I've found that I LOVE accessories of all types. Since I'm not able to be a busy bee right now, I've decided to be a Crafty Bee instead! (hence the name! :P) Crafting has been my outlet and has brought so much peace and joy back into my life. That is my hope with this shop. For you to take a minute and enjoy the small things in life. To find a little gem of joy in an accessories.
