With gold prices reaching all time highs, now is the time to redesign your old and unworn gold jewelry!
After completing her custom Edisto bracelet, my client and I discovered she had a good bit of leftover gold. I offered to give her gold credit towards her bracelet, but she asked if I could use it to make her a cross for her turquoise necklace instead. She showed me some pictures for inspiration and we discussed fabrication versus casting a carved wax. In order to make the most of her gold, she opted for a hand carved wax to be cast. After cleaning up the rough casting, I applied a matte finish and a hammered texture. Now it's ready to be worn on her turquoise necklace!
