Raising Heck: Care, Chaos, and Hope
Parent/caregiver + child exhibition at The Calling Bell in Huntington Village.

We’re looking for artists who are parents or caregivers to submit artwork made between 2020–present about raising kids in today’s world. This exhibit will take the artists work and pair it with a piece made by their child.

The opening reception on March 22 will be more than an art show — it will include community conversation, shared resources for families, and space to connect with other parents, caregivers, and artists navigating these times together.

Design & Mindful Manufacturing

I founded Unmarked Industries after 8 years of working in corporate design, producing jewelry and accessories for big box brands all over the United States and Europe. It was during these years my eyes were open to the harm fast fashion and mass-produced product has on the environment. At the same time I began to see a shift in priorities of the emerging consumer market. It was no longer enough for a product to be on trend. There was a clear desire for transparency about how/what/where these items were being made and a need to connect with the maker behind them. Since I had already been working with factories over seas for some time. I decided I needed to immerse myself in American manufacturing. As I dug in I found an extraordinary group of artists and makers with a similar mission.Eventually I begin building the brand that would become Unmarked Industries. At UNx we are dedicated to creating beautiful designs using mindful manufacturing. We are committed to minimizing our carbon foot print while growing the makers movement in America. I am proud to say all of our pieces are produced by hand in our New York Shop. However, we know that change in the industry can NOT be achieved alone. Which is why we offer small batch production and development to other designers who share this vision.
