Can you spot the fake? 👀

In this one, we put two handbags side by side — one authentic, one counterfeit — and walked through exactly how our team tells the difference. It starts with touch. Real leather has a distinct feel that fakes just can't replicate, no matter how good they've gotten.

From there, we examine the stitching, checking if the monograms and logos are evenly spaced and properly centered. We open the bag up and inspect the zippers, interior stitching, and material quality inside and out. Counterfeiters are getting better every year, which is exactly why we don't rely on the eye test alone.

Every handbag also goes through Entrupy, where 17 high-resolution digital images are analyzed and cross-referenced to generate an official authentication certificate. If it's on our wall, it's guaranteed genuine.
