We are Dayton's First and Most Experienced Junior Roller Derby Team, the Junior Gems. Junior Roller Derby for Boys and Girls Ages 8-17 years old. Dayton Junior Roller Derby (Junior Gems) were formed in October 2012, by Coach Punishment and Captain Racey Rocker both from Gem City. Our Coaching Staff Include Members and former Members of the Gem City Roller Derby and Cincinnati Roller Girls. On Apri

l 30, 2016, The Gem City Roller Derby were ranked #99 in WFTDA.(US and International Teams)
On March 5, 2017 the Black N Blue Gems officially played their first game. Black N Bluegrass and The Jr Gems would join together for 4 full seasons giving us more players and the ability to grow our programs. Our Final home bout, Feb 1, 2020 vs Motown with the win going to BBG 272-258. Our Last official rankings together before Covid; Female 18/121 and Open 27/163 in World Rankings. Experience Counts and we are currently rebuilding our program. We are open to all Skaters interested in playing Roller Derby. We are non affiliated league and our goal is developing skaters to build the future for Roller Derby.

Outside track will be available for intermediate/beginners to work solo on any skills you like.
