Why Milestones Matter ✨

I used to think milestones were about the number.

Two years.

A goal reached.

A new title.

A certain amount of success.

Now I think they’re about something completely different.

They’re about stopping long enough to say…

“Look how far I’ve come.”

My two-year Fizzaversary wasn’t just about two years in business.

It was two years of showing up.

Two years of learning.

Two years of friendships.

Two years of laughter.

Two years of figuring things out as I went.

Two years of proving to myself that I could do something I wasn’t sure I could do.

Things Nursing Taught Me 🩺

Being a nurse taught me a lot.

Some of it had absolutely nothing to do with medicine.

It taught me to listen.

Really listen.

It taught me that everyone has a story.

That the person who seems difficult may simply be hurting.

That sometimes people don’t need you to fix anything.

They just need someone to be there.

It taught me that humor can get you through some really hard days.

And that kindness matters more than we sometimes realize.

I’ve carried those lessons with me into every part of my life.

Including this crazy little business of mine.

Because at the end of the day…

People matter more than products.

Always.
