It has been 11 days since the most devastating tragedy of the last 20 years—or rather, the greatest natural disaster—for Venezuela has had to endure many such events over the past three decades, and the reservoir of tears remains full. I remember creating this piece eight years ago: my seven-star flag. My eternal flag, representing the Venezuela I hold onto—the one from thirty years ago, just before my country’s worst “Red” tragedy. Venezuela, saldremos de esta!!💛💙❤️✨✨⭐️

When my children were little, I used to read them The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde. Now that they’re not that little anymore, it’s still one of the stories they cherish most.

In the tale, a swallow helps the Happy Prince give away his treasures to those in need, reminding us that true wealth is measured not by what we keep, but by what we share.

I handcrafted these swallow and heart earrings as a symbol of generosity, compassion, and love.
