Summer time sadness
(on a real note… I have had so many ideas I’ve wanted to start, but I’m having a hard time finding the time to execute them. I just started taking a CAD class, which I’m kind of regretting. I’m finally trickling out new jewelry designs that I actually meant to release before summer started, so I feel like I’m falling behind. Honestly, my summer has been full of caring for ungrateful aging parents that takes up most of my days, logistics, appointments, headaches, and no time for myself. Summer is all but gone and I’m finally starting to ice-dye the designs I planned to launch way back in spring but haven’t started planning until now. I hope I’m not too late and I’ll try to record the process, but in the meantime, these are my new jewelry designs that I finally added online with photos that I took in my backyard. The pressure to showcase a luxury experience and brand that I don’t feel I’m living up to is really starting to get to me, so I choose to stay off-line most of the time, especially since I feel like I don’t have much time to myself. Here’s my attempt at explaining the real life behind the pretty jewelry.)

Gemstones are inherently unique. Each one is naturally occurring, unearthed, then passing through so many hands and steps to get to me to make something out of it. I got the last few army green sapphires and dark green emeralds from one supplier I met in Las Vegas in June. And the turquoise pendants in this shape are also super hard to come by from my turquoise supplier. So these all are super limited! I have only enough to make 3 of each of the sapphire, and emeralds necklaces for now, until I can come across more stones. The army green sapphires are really special because look more like a smokey grey next to the malachite and emeralds, but they’re definitely gorgeous on their own and seem to change color in different types of lighting

Love a tiny pop of color! 🥰💚💙🩷🤌🏽And since I love a more angular cut gemstone, these are cube cut beads with an octagon chalcedony pendant. I picture this stacked with any of your day-to-day gold or silver necklaces.

New pearls are in and I’m slowly making them into teeny tiny necklaces. 2 different shades of pearls. Strung on silk. The round pearls are more of an ivory warm tone, and the rice shaped ones are more bright white. These teeny rice shaped pearls are the newest addition. It’s taken me almost a year to source the tiniest pearls after I ran out of my last batch

I like a more geometric piece of jewelry, something more angular, that’s why I searched high and low for cube shaped gemstones and unusual drops instead of the usual round ones you see everywhere. Harder to find and more expensive, but I love it🤷🏻‍♀️🥰

in Kailua, on Oahu, has been one of the original supporters of my jewelry since I can’t even remember! 🥰They gave me a chance back when their store was only half the size, and they continue to keep leveling up their curations. Their style is one of the best!🤩You have to check them out if you’re on the east side and you’re on the hunt for something special to brighten your day

New goodies for the Guava girlies in Haleiwa

I luckily found a little more turquoise (in a slightly darker shade this time), so I figured it’d go nicely with all green malachite🤩
