Rockingham County Fair 2026 is a wrap! While this year was certainly different (it's the first time since 2012 we haven't had a son or daughter show), it was equally special to watch some of the 4-H and FFA youth exhibit lambs from our farm! A few of the highlights:

Natalie Craig 3rd Overall Division 1
🧬 Going Green x SLF 0063 (Gable)

Abigail Kopcinski class winner Division 5
🧬 Little Johnny x SLF 23118

Becca Horst class winner, Division 5
🧬 Young Blood x Fancy (Ace of Spades)

8 second place lambs, 3 third place lambs and a few more sprinkled in here and there.

We have a pretty big county fair (~175 head of market lambs) and I know I heard several of the judges this week make comments about the quality of livestock we have at our fair rivaling most State Fairs, so we are pretty proud!

Next up, ultrasounds on our July AI ewes 🤞

*****UPDATE*****

Cannoli will be collected sometime starting last week of October to 1st week of November!

It is a little later than we hoped but its happening and we are excited. He will be collected and frozen by B&D Genetics and straws will be transferred and stored with RSG.

Also start watching for those Cannoli lambs in are late December and Mid February sets he is on Fire already had the first 4 ewes marked in 24hrs....they will remain with him the rest of the week.
