Many years of marriage and loving her wedding rings changes after the loose of her husband … I can’t even imagine😢 I’m able to alter but not totally change a loved wedding set so it can still be worn but have a different look. On this set I removed the diamond from the tall 4 prong head , cut the head out , drilled open that area , cut her wedding band in half, heated & shaped the two bands to shadow her engagement ring , made a semi bezel, soldered it in place, set her center diamond low then soldered the set all together as one …. I love what I do

In 1962 (the year I was born)a bride wore a crown: homemade from floral wire, ribbon, crystal beads, faux pearls & rhinestones. And now the granddaughters want to wear it, but it needed help, rhinestones were missing , the old ribbon was dry rotted and they wanted it to be a tiara. I was thankfully connected to this family via FB. Im thankful two of my FB friends suggested me to the daughter. I’m always honored to work of things like this using my metal skills and patience 😉it was an emotional job because I kept thinking about how excited the lady must have been in 1962 to have have such a beautiful headpiece 👸

A blessed year of work ! Made a funky organic wedding set in white gold for a 3ct. Lab Alexandrite ,after making the original in yellow gold using my melt & fuse method ; did a brides perfect pearl wedding jewelry; created a sterling setting for a rough 10 ct. emerald; jacked up some Navajo earrings with ‘jacks backs’ ; chopped up two rings & made them into pendants ; recycled a antique wg diamond “S” into a special pendant; I cut the stem off a antique garnet stick pin a made it into a ring; use Cheap Trick picks to create one kick ass rocking necklace; created a fabulos gold setting for a cameo that is a family heirloom; chopped a mans gold & diamond ring up into a cross; made a crazy sterling & gold setting for a rutulated quartz rock; made a orphan earring into a funky pendant; and the prettiest grape cluster I’ve ever made with a grandmas pearls … all handmade one of a kind items 💎 and I had time to dig for rocks 😉I love what I do … I play with fire & get dirty !

I went to the woods yesterday, I wore my Moms Rolesville NC t-shirt , got really dirty in that red clay , loved it , dug for some gems and met my distant cousin Mike Watkins! Mike is the amazing Lapidarist at the mine 💎 thinking the day couldn’t get any better my niece Erin (who lives about 45 mintes from the mine) called to meet me for lunch ♥️ now I’m up in Boone , staying with my sister inlaw Mandy (shes here to work this week) delivering clothes to some hurricane Helene victims and getting to see my Nephew and his wife tonight , they work here but live just across the state line in TN 💙 GOD is good … I love my journey !
