Our Story

Our store started as one of the first stand-alone gold buying shoppes in NC. That was back in May of 2008 when the cost of a troy ounce of gold was $867. Gold has climbed to almost $2,000/ozt in that time and our business has changed just as drastically. We began with a waiting area of 180 sqft where we bought gold, silver & platinum. We now have a showroom that’s over 850 sqft and we buy And sell gold, silver & platinum items as well as other US coins/money along with fashion jewelry and accessories.

Our stores are locally owned - I live in Hickory with my husband of 20+ plus years and our 2 boys. We try to ‘shop local’ and we encourage you to do so as well. We opened up a new location on 127 in Viewmont in November of 2018 to serve the area better and making sure everyone has an opportunity to get the best prices for their goods. With the opening of the new location we have hired Randy to operate our 321 location full time. He lives in Caldwell County and is a familiar face around town. He’s always offered professional, courteous service and is very knowledgeable about coins.
