UPDATE: cardinal with white flowers is sold😊
This is not a pity party post, but rather the reality of owning a small business. I had someone reach out to me about making a cardinal necklace with white flowers instead of pink. I love custom orders, but because I just started making these embroidered necklaces, and I don't use patterns, I was hesitant to commit until I made sure I could replicate it.
Years ago, I made a rule that I wouldn't begin a custom order until I had received payment. This is because I had customers flake out in the past. Custom orders require planning, time, and often buying new supplies. However, I made an exception this time, and even told the customer that. We communicated, she chose the floss color for the flowers, I sent pictures, she LOVED the design, and then when it came time to pay...🦗🦗🦗
So, the moral of my story is that I will continue to follow my own rules, and now I have 2 cardinal necklaces available 😂
