This is the newest piece of rough I have in my inventory. It's is a 62 carat Aquamarine with a rare and collectible phantom crystal.

Phantom crystals are evidence of a changing growth environment. These apparitions mirror the crystalline shape of Aquamarine, and are a glimpse at the dynamic growth settings within our planet.

After mapping the inclusions to be removed, and designing a cut that both boosts brilliance and color, the final polished weight of this gem should be between 13-15 carats.

Aquamarine is a gemstone within the Beryl group of minerals. Well known Beryls include Aquamarine, Emerald, Morganite, Green Beryl, Heliodor, and Goshenite. With a hardness of 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale, it has a sufficient hardness for everyday wear in jewelry. Care should be taken to protect the stone from impacts though, as it can be brittle when struck against other hard surfaces.
