This is a PSA after seeing this reel posted on Instagram. “Butter” diamonds or any others indicating a light yellow hue mean that they are trying to sell you the diamonds they cannot get rid of and that nobody wants. Diamond color starts at D and goes to Z in the alphabet. D being the most valuable and desirable and on down the alphabet each lower in color and less valuable. In order for the yellow to be considered “fancy” or more valuable and desirable than a colorless diamond, it must surpass the Z color grade. Otherwise, it is being advertised as something special when it is actually the opposite. I ripped these photos off of the reel I saw and will post the proper color chart as well. Always do your due diligence and ask a gemologist or for a GIA certificate before purchasing.

Congratulations to Chandler and Libbie on their engagement! Chandler chose a natural, mined marquise cut diamond with rows of round brilliant side stones. Libbie wanted a marquise, but had no idea she’d be getting this. He originally thought a half carat, but we decided on 3 carats instead 😂. He proposed last night, and she, of course, said yes! She's over the moon and said it's the most stunning ring she's ever seen! Congratulations! 🎉🍾
