Dragonbackers This purpose shall in no way be construed to mean the organization shall attempt to dictate policy to any department.

The purpose of this organization shall be to encourage and promote interest in all organized extracurricular school activities of Halstead High School by uniting the support of the community, parents, faculty and students.

EXCITING NEWS!!!

Halstead FFA was named a state finalist in the both the Building Communities and Strengthening Agriculture division of Kansas’s National Chapter Awards Program!!!

For a first-year chapter, this distinction is an incredible honor.

This recognition comes directly from our Program of Activities, designed by our officer team to grow agricultural leaders, build strong communities, and promote agriculture in meaningful ways. Next week, our officers will interview for the opportunity to be named a Top 10 finalist and be recognized on stage at the 98th Kansas FFA State Convention.

We’re so proud of every member that worked to make these events successful and are incredibly grateful for the support of our families, school, and community who continue to invest in our chapter. We couldn’t have done this without you!

Way to go, Thea!

Thea Boese of Halstead High School continues to put together a fantastic senior season and softball career, reaching major milestones this season with over 100 hits, 100 RBIs, and 100 runs scored.

The senior stayed hot at the plate tonight, launching 2 home runs in a tight loss to Hoisington High School. Boese is now hitting .479 on the season with an impressive .808 slugging percentage, leading the way for the Dragons.

Halstead sits at 12-8 and will look to bounce back Monday against Belle Plaine High School as they continue their season.
