I started making natural stone jewelry and giving it to friends and family as gifts. They would wear it and their friend and coworkers then contacted me to have me make pieces for them. That’s how this started. A couple of years later I was laid off from a job. My husband and I talked about me making jewelry as a business. We stopped by a local shop and as I like to buy jewelry also, I went over t
o a basket market bracelets. There was only one left and it read, Take a Chance! This was my sign and I created Draiochta Gems and licensed it the following week. I have never looked back or regretted my decision. I create natural stone jewelry. I hand pick every pendant and then let the stone lead me to how the finished piece will look. I also create steampunk jewelry and rework vintage jewelry. Lots of different styles. I am a firm believer that somewhere out there is the perfect match to the jewelry I create. Some pieces find their matched right away, others may take longer. I also do customer work for bridal parties. I work with vintage jewelry as well, re purposing it into something new, many times with a steampunk feel. I can create a special piece for you using jewelry you already have. I have been blessed with wonderful customers, many becoming friends over the years. Many of them have been kind enough to leave reviews.
