I can’t believe it’s finally here. Tomorrow I leave for the island in Wisconsin where my son will be getting married. We are all so. beyond excited !!!
After months of wedding planning, packing, unpacking, lists, details, and one box that decided to arrive a little late—but thankfully will still make it in time—we are finally here.
The set up begins tomorrow. And of course tada!!! The jewelry I finally got a moment to make me , the mom of the groom, a very special necklace & earrings!!!
Because when you’re a jewelry designer and your son is getting married, how could you not!
My dress is full of color, so I wanted the necklace to be all about sparkle!!! vintage flowers, pearls, shimmering beads and metallics, layered into one big, beautiful bit of light.
I’ve been thinking about this wedding for so long that it feels almost surreal to say…And I couldn’t be more excited to step into it all & Let the festivities begin!
It’s here. Yippee Yahoooo!

A little too much is just enough
We have never been particularly interested in behaving ourselves.

One necklace is nice.
Three is more interesting.

A pearl is pretty.
A pearl next to an old coin, a tiny bird, a piece of chain and something we can’t quite identify? Better.

There is enough jewelry in the world designed to disappear politely into an outfit.

Ours would rather participate.

Wear something with an opinion

It’s been a minute since I’ve popped in here to say hello.
Life has been full in the very best way. My son Wyatt is getting married in just six weeks, and I’ve been happily immersed in all the little details that surround a celebration. Gathering beautiful things, imagining the feeling of the day, and getting more excited with each passing week.
The wedding will take place on an island in Wisconsin, and if you know me, you know how much I believe that the spaces we create become part of our memories. A thoughtfully set table, flowers gathered with care, candlelight, music, little moments of surprise—they all become part of the story people carry home with them.
But this time feels different. This isn’t about creating my vision. It’s about honoring theirs. Finding that quiet balance between offering what I love to do and making sure every detail reflects who they are and the life they’re beginning together.
It’s a privilege to witness your child step into this new chapter. My heart is so full, and I can’t wait to celebrate them. Nor can I believe that my little guy is all grown up and getting ready to be someone’s husband. It feels like it happened in the blink of an eye. stay tuned……

I often think about the charm bracelet I had as a little girl.

It wasn’t just a piece of jewelry , it was a story that was always unfolding. Every family trip, every holiday, every little treasure that caught our eye seemed to become another charm. One by one they were added, and with each new one, the bracelet became a little richer, a little more personal.

I remember turning it over in my hands, looking at each tiny charm and remembering where it came from. It wasn’t about the silver or the trinkets. It was about the memories they carried.

It’s no surprise I love to collect pieces with history—vintage treasures, forgotten fragments, beautiful bits from another tim and Oh how I adore bringing them together. Each element changing the composition. Each piece adding another layer.

People often ask why I create so many birds.

I think it’s because birds have always represented possibility to me. They are free, yet they always know their way home. They remind us to look up, to notice beauty, to pause.

As a collector of old things with stories, I love that birds have appeared throughout history…in vintage illustrations, Victorian jewelry, old china, paintings, and treasured keepsakes. They carry a sense of nostalgia while still feeling timeless.

When I create a bird, I’m not just making a piece of jewelry. I’m creating a small reminder of hope, resilience, adventure, and the comfort of home. A little companion you can wear every day.

Maybe that’s why I keep coming back to them. They never seem to lose their ability to make us smile.

Sometimes the best weekends unfold one beautiful stop at a time.
On Saturday & Sunday , I spent the days at my pop-up in Wickford Village surrounded by people who appreciate handmade things and the stories they carry. There’s something so energizing about talking with people face-to-face, hearing what catches their eye and why a piece speaks to them. Each eveninb I ran to the beach, read a little, swam a little and snuck as much time as I could among the sand and sea before the sunset!
The very next morning, I boarded the ferry to Block Island to deliver an order to … a sweet little shop that’s been carrying my work forever and a place that feels perfectly at home with my collection.
After the delivery, I did something I don’t do often enough.
I stayed.
I found a quiet stretch of beach, slipped into the ocean for a swim, opened The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny, and let the salt air, the sound of the waves, and the rhythm of the island slow everything down.
I realized then that These moments are part of my creative process as much as my workbench is.
Beauty has a way of finding us when we make room for it. Sometimes it’s in a vintage button. Sometimes it’s on a ferry. Sometimes it’s floating in the sea.
And sometimes, if we’re lucky, it’s all in the same weekend.

Today I closed the door on a chapter that has been part of my life for more than a decade , or maybe even a lifetime.
For the past ten years, much of my time has been devoted to caring for my parents. Two years ago, after my father passed away, I became the caretaker of one last dream—selling the contemporary home he designed and built at the age of 90.
He only lived there for eight months.
Today, the house found its new owner, a cinematographer. Somehow that feels fitting. The house was always about light, perspective, and seeing beauty in the details.

My father was a photographer and graphic designer. Long before I became a jewelry designer, he taught me to notice composition, balance, texture, and the quiet beauty that most people walk right past.
When people ask where my love of vintage treasures comes from, I realize it began there. It began with learning to really see.

Closing this chapter is bittersweet, but I’m grateful that his home has found someone who will appreciate it with the same creative spirit in which it was imagined.
Sometimes the things we create outlive us. They simply wait for the next person to love them.
