What does it mean to pray without ceasing? God in his infinite wisdom has commanded it of His children. We are to pray persistently and regularly. If we follow down in the text our prayer is to include thankfulness. Thankful for Who our God, over all the nations, and what He has accomplished through Christ Jesus! What a heart check when we examine ourselves in light of this. How might our lives look different if we were to remember this command - if as we looked around the world, around our nation, around our communities and homes and saw the chaos and challenges if we were to bring ALL things to Him in prayer! If we were to trust His sufficient wisdom. To realign our hearts and minds through seeking The One who sustains all of creation. The One who has accomplished all things for the believer through Christ! The One who alone has the power to change and soften people’s hearts and to sanctify our own hearts.
