Made one of these as a request and since ceramics are so unpredictable of course i had to make two just in case... I absolutely love how they came out! These sold immediately. So I have more in process now. Life has been a slow since having a stroke. It's been challenging to keep having to ask for help, as I am not supposed to lift more than 5 pounds. It's been humbling. But I've decided to take all of this as an opportunity to practice asking for help... since it's quite unfamiliar and uncomfortable territory. How do you feel about asking for and receiving help?

I made one of these as a request, and since ceramics are so unpredictable, I made two. I absolutely love how they came out! They sold immediately, so I have more in process now but the process has been a slow since having a stroke. It's been challenging to keep asking for help, as l am not supposed to lift more than 5 pounds. It's been humbling. But I've decided to take all of this as an opportunity to practice asking for help... since it's quite unfamiliar territory and very uncomfortable at times. But I admire people who ask for help, knowing they are supported and the help is there. I want to be like that. Because I know how wonderful it can feel to help, and to be around those who have a large capacity to gracefully.

Ferns have survived every mass extinction this planet has ever seen. No flowers, no seeds... they reproduce through spores even though they're a plant not a mushroom. This is an ancient intelligence entirely their own. And that uniqueness is what has carried them through.

Over the winter I felt like there was a lot being undone in me. I often felt like goo in a chrysalis and I didn't understand it. I felt tender and scared a lot. One of the reasons is because I wasn't acting the way I used to, and I didn't recognize myself. I was less tolerant of a lot of things. But I kept visualizing inner structures being broken down, and I kept holding onto the idea that they needed to be undone before there could be rebirth. This Luna Moth necklace is a reminder to let go, to surrender to the undoing, to whatever is unfolding, even when it looks messy. It's a reminder to trust that life knows how to give you wings. And that sometimes that process needs a lot of quiet, and darkness. This undoing, breaking down is not an accident. It is deliberate. And it is safe to trust. We are in process and we can trust the process of life.
