Which look calls to you most: a shiny polish or a blackened finish?

Each Sigil talisman is designed with an intentional blackening of certain elements of the symbol to enhance its meaning. The falling away of something heavy, or the past reflected in the shadow of the shiny new beginning. Each one holds its own depth and contrast.

But since these pieces are cast individually upon order, and can mean something unique, special, and entirely different to each person who is called to wear one, we’ve added the option for a fully shiny finish. Whether you like the look better, or you prefer to visualize the symbol as a whole, a shiny finish may be the right choice for you.

Keep in mind- sterling silver and brass both oxidize (darken) naturally over time when exposed to salt water, sweat, or sitting in a jewelry dish or stored away. Equally, when wearing an intentionally oxidized piece, if you need to polish up any shiny areas that dull over time, the polishing can wear away the oxidized design. Be careful to only polish the areas you want to keep shiny, and for the rest just gently wash with soap and warm water.

The circle: symbol of the infinite, spirit without boundary, without beginning or end. The diamond below is the material world taking form. Between them, a single point of contact.. the portal. Four nodes mark the corners, holding the moment in place. The infinite and the elements.

Velara is the sigil of initiation; the veiled altar, the threshold before the crossing.

Every beginning exists first as a feeling. Something shifts quietly within before the action takes place. Velara is for that moment; the one where something new has already begun, even before we can see where it will lead.
