IMGBAT is a black-owned jewelry, art and laser engraving business with products available at public events and online. Brian Taylor, owner and artist, is a metalsmith that works primarily in silver, gold, copper and brass. Many of his pieces are inspired by science fiction, fantasy and lore of ancient cultures around the world. He forges, solders, wire wraps, etches, engraves and casts his pieces;
often in combination. Ninety-five percent of his pieces are one-of-a-kind, each containing their own name and origin story, illustrated and laser-engraved onto metal cards. These experiences have allowed him to observe and soak in many cultures, which influence his work. He also does professional grade laser engraving on all metals and most leather material. Taylor occasionally paints and sculpts.
