“El Espiritu de la Chola” 🇲🇽 January 24th, 2026

A 2018 photo series conceived, directed and styled by Sydney Ballesteros, and captured by Puspa Lohmeyer is emerging from the archives and being honored at the Communion on Convent Gallery space.

We are beyond excited to celebrate this much anticipated archive of cultural work on January 24th from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Join us as we pay tribute to the roots, history + evolution of the inimitable style of the Chola. The exhibit showcases Chola style spanning from the 1940’s through the 1990’s.
