I hope those still following this page have been well the last few years! I know I haven't really updated this page in a long time. Maybe little tidbits over the years.
I have been incredibly busy. Especially in improving my knowledge and skills. I have spent the last 3 years picking up two Associates level degrees at Glendale Community College! The first is an Associate of Science Gen emphasis, And the second is an associate of arts in mathematics.I will be picking up a third associates degree shortly as well, likely a business related one. And then on to an engineering degree!
During this time, I have learned such an incredible amount of different things and skills, including finding a passion for leadership! I spent 2 years in officer positions in both the Astronomy and Geology clubs, holding the Geoclub presidenency for a year! And now, this last year, I have been incredibly active in the student government as the Vice President of GCC, meaning I have represented over 12,000 students in Maricopa county over the last year as I have spoken in front of the Maricopa community college board of governors, been an active proponent and encouraged a return to community building and service, and have brought in guest speakers from around the country to present unique and diverse topics for our students.
And in this time I have found an apprentice to teach my lapidary and jewelry skills too. Someone who is just as passionate as I am about both our commitment to quality as well as our artistic pursuit and finding freedom to express our craft in our own ways. Which has led us to the biggest development for Ivity so far; a move from home-based business to professional brick and mortar workshop
I so look forward to the new chapter that is beginning in my life as I am now finally able to dedicate some time back into this page and the artist collected that I envisioned so many years ago with Ivity Creations.
