TWENTY-FIVE POUNDS of unfinished glass! Heck yeah, I did it!

I was starting to worry that I wouldn’t have enough inventory to make it through this crazy fall tour, but now that I have everything laid out… I’m feeling pretty darn good. I’ll have PLENTY — even for Houston, my final show of the tour!

AND Houston… I’m bringing the belt buckles! 🤠 I’ve seen you Texas ladies shopping in Colorado, and let me tell you — you are my BEST belt buckle shoppers. So I’m coming prepared!

When exactly will I finish all 25 pounds of this glass?

In hotel rooms. 😂

This is what I do between art shows — travel, set up, sell, tear down, check into a hotel, finish jewelry, do laundry, find a gym, grocery shop…and then do it all over again.

And if this pile is 25 pounds, I’m guessing I have another 50+ pounds of finished jewelry already packed up and ready to sell.

Now I just need to pack seven outfits.

The problem? I don’t even OWN seven outfits I really like. I probably have two. 😂

So apparently the glass is handled. The wardrobe? Still questionable.

Six weeks. Six shows. A whole lotta glass.

Here we go, departure is TOMORROW! ❤️

The final push!

I can’t make anymore, I gotta pack this table and pack my vehicle.

Tomorrow I head out and start driving East. First stop, Wisconsin to pick up my mom and visit friends and family.

Jeeez, I gotta pack my clothes too, 6 weeks, I’ll be wearing the same 7 outfits. Don’t judge 😂

Since I was a little girl, I’ve always had this desire to “let’s go see.”

What’s over there? What does that place look like? What would it be like to experience it for myself?

From Lake Michigan to the Colorado Rockies, I’ve always wanted to go, explore, and see what’s out there.

And this fall, I really get to do it.

With both kids off at college, and somehow most of my art show applications turning into invitations, I’m packing up my jewelry and heading out on the biggest art show tour of my life.

6 weeks.
6 art shows.
6,000+ miles.

Plus travel companions along the way and visits with family and friends.

MY FALL TOUR 🍂

Sept. 4–6
Long’s Park Art Festival
Lancaster, PA

Sept. 12–13
Bethesda Row Arts Festival
Bethesda, MD

Sept. 19–20
Lawrence Art in the Park
Lawrence, KS

Sept. 26–27
Peoria Art Guild Fine Art Fair
Peoria, IL

Oct. 2–4
St. James Court Art Show — 3rd Street
Louisville, KY

Oct. 9–11
Bayou City Art Festival
Houston, TX

Yeah…it’s a trip!

When the invitations to these shows started arriving, I just couldn’t say no. I had to go see.

Of course I have a sales goal. I am a business owner, after all. 😂 But mostly, I’m excited about the adventure—the miles, the places I’ve never been, the people I’ll meet, and the family and friends I’ll get to see along the way.

Will I be exhausted? Probably.

Will everything go according to plan? Doubtful.

Could this be one of those adventures I talk about for the rest of my life? I sure hope so.

Let’s see how this turns out.

Let’s go see. ❤️

Thirty years ago this September, I packed up and moved to the Gunnison Valley to be a ski bum at Crested Butte while attending Western State University. It was a different time—long before Secret Stash became the iconic pizza place everyone knows today. Rafters was standing at the base of Mt. Crested Butte, Donita’s was still serving margaritas, Western Wednesdays meant no classes on Wednesdays, and Timbers was the place to be for college students in Gunnison. It’s also where I met my husband. ❤️

That year changed the course of my life.

So being back in Crested Butte is always special, but this year is even more meaningful because I’ll be at the 54th Annual Crested Butte Art show for the first time.

I’m sharing a few old photos too—my days as a ski instructor, one last night skiing after the legendary Leftie end-of-season party when they turned the T-Bar back on, and our Tuesday night dinner parties in Gunnison. So many great memories!

What a weekend. ❤️

Thank you to the Cheesman Park Art Fest and to everyone in Denver for making me feel like I’m home every time I come back.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend wasn’t just sharing new work—it was hearing your stories. So many of you told me where you bought your very first Miss Olivia’s Line piece. Some remembered the old Fancy Tiger holiday shows, others the Saturday Ballpark Market, and many mentioned Denver boutiques that have long since closed their doors. It reminded me just how many memories we’ve made together over the last 20 years.

At one point, while customers were sharing their stories, a couple of younger women overheard the conversation and said, “OMG… people really remember you.”

That made me smile.

Thank you for supporting handmade art, for wearing my jewelry through all these years, and for making every trip back to Denver feel like coming home. I can’t wait to see you again.
