In 1975, the first Lawrence Jewelers store was opened by Lawrence (Larry) and Nancy Schlager in downtown Port Huron, Michigan. This location on Main Street was great, with nearby businesses such as McMorran Auditorium, Sperrys, Diannaโs Sweet Shop and the St. Larryโs simple shop, fronted by glass display windows, was the start of a family business that lives on through three generations. ned another Lawrence Jewelers store in 1985 in Sandusky, MI, about one hour north of Port Huron. His original downtown store would eventually move to the Farmer Jack shopping plaza in 1990, on the north end of Port Huron. It remained at that location until 1997, when he opened up in the Birchwood Mall in Fort Gratiot. Fast forward to 2018 when we began the buildout of our newest location (in the TJ Maxx plaza lot). We started our exit from the Mall and officially opened up the NEW location in March of 2019. Dion Schlager (Larry's Son) & Jonathan Askew now proudly own & operate the business. We remain a family forward, customer centric local business. We pride ourselves in delivering quality services and products. We love being a part of commemorating some of life's greatest moments. Lawrence Jewelers proudly complies with the Kimberley Process, which prevents conflict and โbloodโ diamonds from entering the legitimate diamond trade. By doing so, we guarantee all diamonds purchased from our vendors and sold in our store are conflict-free, and the profits are not used to finance war, insurgency, or terrorism of ANY kind.
