I wanted to say thank you to everyone who ordered cookies this year. I can honestly say I have never baked so many cookies 🍪 before, but in the end it's worth it. A lot of love were put into them. Happy Fall friends! 🍂

I have not posted in quite sometime. Needless to say, I am overdue! Our whole family is currently under the weather so I made a ton of elderberry syrup to get us through this cold we are dealing with as well as the rest of fall and the winter! Fun story.... I made a little (or a lot) too much! Which is great news for YOU!

This syrup is made with organic elderberries and local, raw honey! It's pretty amazing!

Spring is around the corner and before we know it will be time to start canning all our garden veggies and our fruit. But until then if I see a good deal on fruit in the store I snag it up pretty quick. These apples will either make a good apple sauce or maybe a good pie filling or maybe my kids will take a few bites and the rest will go to our chickens... who knows! But it's really important to clean your fruit before you use it. It's so simple to clean fruit and make sure you get the extra toxins and chemicals off that water alone doesn't remove.

Here is how:

Cover your apples in water
Add 1/4 cup of apple cider vingesr OR regular vinegar
Add 1 Tbsp baking soda
Let soak for at least 5 minutes
Rinse completely and enjoy!

Things are pretty busy over here as I am fulfilling orders for Christmas. Cookies and canning is so fun, but is definitely a labor of love! I've been canning everything from apple butter to blueberry butter and syrup to raspberry preserves and Christmas jam and making so many cookies which the family does not hate!
