Stop giving up on YOUR dream because somebody else got there before you. Stop looking at their timeline, their numbers, their success, their business, or their journey and deciding you’re behind.

Their time is not YOUR time. 👏🏽

What God has for you is still yours. Keep showing up. Keep working. Keep believing. Keep becoming.

You have NO idea how close you are to the very thing you’ve been praying and working for. 🙏🏽✨

BABYYYY… after cooking it, plating it, taking the pictures AND making the content… I can FINALLY EAT! 😂👏🏽

Lunch today is my juicy steak, roasted sweet potato with cottage cheese NO mustard this time 😂 and we’re trying something new with the electrolytes!

I mixed Dragon Fruit + Blue Raspberry for the FIRST time and LOOK AT THAT COLOR! 💙💜 And the taste?! OH MY GOSH… SO GOOD! 😩

And now I’m trying the sweet potato with cottage cheese because y’all know I keep seeing these sweet potato bowls everywhere. I’m not ready to make the whole bowl just yet 😂, so we’re starting right here!

Okay y’all… curiosity got the BEST of me! 😂

I’m sitting here with my Tiffany Plate thinking, “I wonder what this grape would taste like with cottage cheese and mustard?” 👀🍇

So OF COURSE I had to try it!

And listen… it wasn’t gag and spit it out bad. 😂 But was it good enough to do again?

NO MA’AM! 🤣👏🏽

The grapes can stay over there being sweet and delicious, and the cottage cheese and mustard can stay in THEIR lane. Some things just don’t need to be mixed together! 😂

But hey I tried it before I said I didn’t like it! 👏🏽

September 9, 2026 the beginning of a new chapter.

After 14 years, I’m stepping away from my job and choosing to trust God with what comes next our family business, my businesses, Golden Fam Agency, and everything He has placed in my hands.

What makes this even more special is this journal, Not So Random Thoughts, written by my sister-cousin Lakesha Gates. I purchased it years ago and never used it… and now I understand why. Maybe it was waiting for this season. ❤️

I’m going to document this journey weekly the faith, the obedience, the fears, the wins, the lessons, and everything God reveals along the way.

I don’t know exactly how this story ends yet…but I know Who I’m trusting while I write it. 🙏🏾

Sometimes SIMPLE is all you need! 🍠👏🏽

Cut those sweet potatoes in half, grab yourself some GOOD olive oil because yes, it makes a difference! 😂 brush them down really well, add a little salt, flip them over and repeat.

Then into the oven for about an hour, depending on your oven, and let it do what it DO! 🙌🏽

BABYYYY… soft, roasted and delicious! 😩🍠 I paired mine with a nice juicy steak and my electrolytes, and dinner was DONE!

No complicated recipe. No 15 different ingredients. Just good food made simple. 💛

Why did finding a few cute things for my office desk turn into a THREE-STORE MISSION?! 😩😂

First, HomeGoods nothing. And can we acknowledge that I walked out of HomeGoods EMPTY-HANDED?! Because that deserves some recognition! 😂👏🏽

Then I just KNEW TJ Maxx was going to come through. NOPE! At this point, I’m literally talking to myself like, “Shayssea… did you IMAGINE these cute desk sets? Was it a dream?!” 😂 I did leave with some towels though… mind your business. 🤣

Last chance TARGET! 🎯

We stayed focused. We passed the distractions. We made it to the office supplies and… NOTHING. Until finally…

BOOM! THERE THEY WERE! 🙌🏽✨

Your girl got her new desk goodies! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! 👏🏽

And then Target did what Target does… and somehow groceries came home too. 😂

Now I can’t wait to show y’all how I put my desk together! 💛

Alright y’all, next up at DND Soul Cuisine… THE YAMS! 🍠👀

Now I had already heard they were REALLY good, but y’all know me I have to taste it for myself! 😂

BABYYYY… LOOK AT THOSE YAMS! 😩 That sweet with a little salty?! YES MA’AM! 👏🏽 I could seriously eat these as DESSERT!

First the catfish had me ready to order some to go, and now these yams?! DND is officially TWO FOR TWO! 😂🔥

Okayyyy… now let’s see if the next bite can keep this streak going! 👀
