Just two old guys out in the mountains....

So what do you do when you have worked all your life and although you're retired, you're not quite ready to settle down and wander quietly into old age? That was the grand idea that Charlie and Johnny had four years ago. These two gentlemen decided it would be a great idea to start going out into the mountains near their home just to see what was about.

They began to teach themselves everything they could about different types of stones and how best to find them. Experience truly is the best teacher and boy, did they have some crazy experiences out in the mountains. Waders full of water?!? Four long years later (and many, many trips into the mountains!) Blue Ridge Gemstone Jewelry was created. All of our stones are local treasures and we cut and polish them ourselves. Our goal is to show how every gemstone is unique and beautiful. We have even wrangled our families in on the fun. We hope that you enjoy what we have created for you! Please let us know if there is anything else you would like to see in our shop!
