Our featured estate item is a vintage handblown glass dogwood vase by artist John DesMeules.

DesMeules is a prominent studio glass artist based in West Virginia. He is known for his expertise in both glassblowing and intricate sandblasting/etching.

His technique is a rare blending of hot glassblowing with cold sand-carving. He often creates handblown vessels and then sandblasts them to create frosted, raised designs like the dogwood blossoms in our vase.
