Here’s a fun ring for those who like a more eclectic look and love jewelry that tells a story! This oxidized sterling silver mounting holds a round piece of “SwedishBlue”, a glass like material that forms during metal smelting in the Bergslagen Mining District in Sweden. The mining district has been active since the 13th century, and in the 1960s a Swedish goldsmith started making jewelry out of the material after finding rough pieces in the woods. Would you wear a piece like this?
