Tuggle Designs was born of the mutual passion for one-of-a-kind, handcrafted jewelry from husband and wife team, Matt and Lauren Tuggle. Inspired by patterns and architecture, they place an emphasis on contrast and negative space. Utilizing traditional fabrication, ornamental hand engraving, and advanced stone setting, they demonstrate the highest-quality craftsmanship in their bold, yet wearable

jewelry, meant to stand the test of time. They believe that more beauty and artistry goes into a piece when it is made by hand, and do not rely on CAD in their process. This makes every piece of jewelry special, intentional, and truly distinctive. They believe that finishes are just as important as the design, and incorporate hand engraving, textures, and high polished areas to produce dynamic, compelling works of art.

We haven’t been in this space much recently, but we’ve definitely been cranking out all kinds of sweet pieces behind the scenes! 🤩

This Big Spiral Disc Pendant was made in 14k yellow gold and turned on our rose engine lathe, a machine we’ve spent the last two years restoring and bringing back to life. We hung it from a strand of small freshwater pearls and finished it with an oversized clasp.

This one found its home at the Evergreen Fine Arts Festival a couple weekends ago, but we have SO many new pieces - can’t wait to start showing you guys what we’ve been up to!

PSA - If you’re using the wrong drill bit, you’re making your life harder. 👇

🎥 Tuggle Tool Time is back, and today we’re talking about the three twist drills I reach for most in the shop.

⚙️ Steel Twist Drill – My go-to for softer metals like gold and silver.

💎 Carbide Drill – Perfect for tougher metals, but handle with care. They’re incredibly hard, which also means they’re brittle. Break one off in your work and you’ll have a frustrating repair ahead of you.

🖤 High-Speed Steel (Black Shank) – My personal favorite! They stay sharp for a long time, cut beautifully, and if one does break, it’s much easier to deal with than carbide.

I’ve had the best experience with Busch drills over the years, and they’re the ones I keep reaching for at the bench because they consistently perform.

Tuggle Tool Time!
New tool alert: the DiproMini filer for your NSK micromotor.
This micro filer hooks right up to your existing NSK and gives you serious control in tight, hard-to-reach areas.
I’ve been reaching for it a ton-especially for cleaning up bezel tops, refining fancy flush settings, and dialing in gallery work (even on platinum).
Honestly, it keeps earning a spot on my bench. One of those tools you don’t think you need... until you use it.
