Good news!!!!!!!!! The SPC has moved the threat for the MODERATE risk down further! Making us still in the ENHANCED risk area, but!!!!! No threat of being in the moderate risk area anymore! We were riding a thin line.

I still stand with my last post about what to expect, however, I will be monitoring this system extremely closely just in case anything else is to change!

As always,
STAY AWARE AND STAY SAFE!

Ok! So final post before the big day tomorrow!

Biggest threats are:
-High winds in excess of 60mph
-widespread severe thunderstorms
-widespread storm damage
-tornadoes

Also, reports of flash flooding in some areas due to heavy downpours in some of these cells.

We are flirting with the moderate risk (level 4) but are still in the Enhanced Risk (level 3) predicted areas.

Some of these storms can and most likely WILL be severe. Please have a plan of action ready for your family! Remember, just because it hasn't happened, doesn't mean it won't.

This system is predicted to hit our area between 2-3pm and last until the early evening hours.

Tie down all yard furniture and trampolines. Move all garbage bins near home. Park your cars in your garage if you have one.

Have your local channels available and charge your devices so you have ways to receive these watches and warnings.

Stay aware. Stay safe.

No real change to the forecast tomorrow.. hopefully as it moves closer we will have a better understanding of just how close our area will truly be to that Moderate Risk.
Either way, this is still looking extremely sketchy. Hopefully 🤞🏽 the cold air mass that is still very present in our area, will be enough to slow down the energy and overpower the Low pressure. However, the clouds starting to move into the area and the unsteadiness of the atmosphere already, makes it hard to hold on to that theory.

I will post another update tonight at around 11:15pm.

Please be ALERTED to the skies on Thursday. This IS NOT a system to be looked passed. For the first time in, at least all of my weather career, I have never seen a High Risk rating....
As of right now, we are still in the enhanced areas, however, this means we still have the chance for wide spread damage, massive areas of hail, damaging wind gusts in excess of 60mph, torrential downpours, deadly lightning, and tornadic activity.

*****THIS IS YOUR WARNING******

HAVE A PLAN OF ACTION IN PLACE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. KNOW WHERE TO GO.

IF YOU HAVE YARD FURNITURE, NOW IS THE TIME TO ANCHOR DOWN.

WE HAVE ABOUT 36 HOURS LEFT UNTIL WE ARE MET WITH THE SEVERITY OF THIS STORM SYSTEM.

*****************************
I will try to update this as quick as possible. This is a huge weather event and everyone is doing an amazing job covering it! I am making these public so you may share with your friends and family so they are also aware!
