There was no one more proud of being a Greek American than my beloved husband Telly. Any opportunity he had to explain to me the sacrifices, struggles and amazing accomplishments of the Greek people, he would! March 25th was always one of those days.
😢I miss him more and more each day but I’m so incredibly grateful and inspired by his love and pride for his country (and his Greeks 💙). And as much as he complained about Baltimore 😜, he also loved growing up in Greektown.

So what better way to honor him than to donate to our team 🤟🏼 to help bring awareness and much needed funding for Glioblastoma brain cancer~ the dreadful disease that took the life of my amazingly proud, loving, caring, generous and fun loving husband.
💔He had so much more to offer the world.

😇 Happy Heavenly Birthday to my ❤️ Telly, The Original Goldfather.
I know Heaven must be a little wild today with all the Greek Dancing and Ouzo shots 🙌🏼🥃🇬🇷🤟🏼
I will miss and love you forever 😘 The pain has not subsided even for a minute but I find comfort knowing that you are keeping a watchful eye on us all.

After 12 1/2 years it is time for The Original Goldfather to say goodbye. As of June 15, 2022 we will be closing our doors and will need all jewelry loans redeemed. We have attempted to contact everyone.
Sadly, Telly, the incredible man that started it all, lost his battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer on May 27, 2022. He fought hard and remained so optimist, positive and charming ❤️ , throughout his fight. He spent his last 8 weeks on home hospice with me, his wife, where I was able to give him the love and dedicated care that he deserved.
He loved being The Goldfather and he Loved all his customers, which he called guests. He felt like they were all family and I know anyone who was fortunate enough to know Telly, knew how thoughtful, considerate and generous he was with all his guests and friends.
He was a rockstar. He had a personality and smile that lit up the room. I know that he would be sad that we have to close but he knows that I also have my own breast cancer diagnosis to deal with, and honestly I could never be the incredible light that he was to everyone.

We all love and miss you Telly 😢💔, forever.

May his memory be eternal.

❤️‍🩹 Due to Telly, The Original Goldfather, beginning a new treatment this week, March 7-12, we will be closed. We apologize for any inconvenience but will honor all loan payments, with no penalties. We appreciate your patience and continued support during this very difficult time 🙏🏼
We will reopen Tuesday, March 15 at 10:30. Our hours for the interim are Tuesday-Friday, 10:30-2:30. We look forward to getting back to our regular hours soon!
💎 And speaking of which, stay tuned for some exciting news about a surprise employee coming to help us get back to regular, consistent hours.
Thank you again for all your love, patience and support! We appreciate every one of our loyal guests throughout these past 13 years!!

❤️🙏🏼Thank you for all your love and support during this difficult time. Unfortunately due to a medical emergency we haven’t been able to open this week. We’re optimistic that we will be back in action next week 💪🏼, opening at 10:30am Tuesday, February 15th. We appreciate all the messages, calls & cards and value all of our guests! You’ve made this difficult time more bearable.
We wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day 💝 and continue to enjoy this month of L❤️VE.
Can’t wait to see all of you again very soon!

These last 2 years, especially the last 6 months, have been the most challenging of our lives. But the support from our guests, family and friends has helped us to stay strong 💪🏼.
