information is everywhere.
understanding is rarer.

it is not enough to memorize a technique, repeat a procedure, or know that something works. the practitioner should understand why.

because repetition can preserve a habit.
understanding preserves a craft.

knowledge gives us answers.
understanding gives those answers weight.
wisdom is what remains when the two finally meet.

skill is not proven by how quickly we act. it is revealed in what we notice before we ever begin.

the order teaches that observation is part of the craft. anatomy, intention, environment, consequence. every meaningful decision begins with understanding.

Respect is not ceremony. It is not politeness for the sake of appearance.

It is the recognition that every person who places their trust in our hands deserves dignity, honesty, patience, and care.

The Craft gives us access to the human body in moments that can be vulnerable, transformative, deeply personal, or all three at once. That access is never something to take for granted.

Respect for the client.
Respect for the body.
Respect for consent.
Respect for those who taught before us.
Respect for the responsibility we carry forward.

Without respect, technical ability is simply skill without principle.

A craft survives only when its principles are stronger than the people entrusted with carrying it.

These Articles are the foundation of The Order.

Not rules written to control.
Not traditions preserved simply because they are old.

They are promises.

To the people who trust us with their bodies.
To those who taught us.
To those who will inherit the Craft after us.
And to the standard we refuse to compromise.

For thousands of years, humans have altered and adorned the body to mark who they were, what they survived, what they believed, and who they were becoming.

That instinct never disappeared.

We simply learned to call it fashion.

The Order believes there is something deeper beneath it.

Sometimes a piercing celebrates.
Sometimes it mourns.
Sometimes it restores ownership of the body.
Sometimes it marks the beginning of an entirely new chapter.
