We started our Utah adventure way back in 2002 when we took our first trip to Red Rock Country. It was so different than the Oregon Coast and certainly wasn’t dreary in the winter. A little snow, a few breezes and all the red rock you might be able to see.
In 2005 we took another trip but this time we purchased a 1943 Service Station in Escalante and created Gallery Escalante. Photography, souvenirs, rocks and hiking information sent us on a 10-year journey helping folks enjoy a unique part of Utah.
Between the Grand Staircase and our Mormon Village (yes there is a book about it) we learned more from our friends, neighbors, and visitors than we dreamed of.
We sold the home and business building 10 yrs later and moved to Enoch, which is also a unique place. Tracy started silver smithing and we did Rock and Gem Shows in 5 western states. New friends, new neighbors and new adventures. That came to an end last October when slowing down and down-sizing became a necessary evil.
We put all out belongings in storage, purchased our 5th travel trailer, and prepared to find a new place to land. After 3 months of travel in 4 states we’ve mostly landed in Arizona. We’re still working on the details and selling our house in Utah, but it’s beginning to come together.
Over this Memorial Weekend I'll post pictures of our Journey.
