A little driftwood, a little paint, and a whole lot of love. 🤍🌊

I’m working on something extra special today—hand-lettering a couple’s wedding vows onto a beautiful piece of Maine driftwood.

Every knot, curve, and grain in the wood makes this piece one of a kind. And that’s what I love about creating with treasures from the sea!

I’m not showing you the finished piece just yet! 👀

💕 Stay tuned for the big reveal and see how it all comes together!

Sometimes you can’t fix someone’s pain, but you can make something with your hands and your heart. 🤍 I made this driftwood cross for a mother and daughter I know after they lost the husband and father they loved far too soon. Two heart stones from the Maine shore sit at its center.

Have you ever made something to comfort someone you love?

A little coastal Christmas fun for the Shops at Cape Neddick! 🎄🐚

I made this batch of ornaments with driftwood, pretty shells, and a little sense of humor. My favorite? “Frosty’s Baby Pic!” ❄️😂 Every snowman has to start somewhere!

From little evergreens to lobsters and snowflakes, which one would you hang on your tree? 💙

A little sailboat with a very important job… pointing guests toward the cocktails! ⛵️🍹

A customer from North Providence, RI, sent me this photo of the sailboat bar menu I hand-painted for their celebration. Those blue hydrangeas! That beautiful bar! I couldn’t have picked a prettier spot for her. 💙

I spend so much time up close with a paintbrush that seeing my pieces out in the world is such a treat. Thanks for sending a little joy back to my Maine workshop!

A Seaside “I Do” 🌊
Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Saltwater wood, ocean views, and a whole lot of love. 🌊🤍

Our driftwood rental arch made its way to Joseph’s by the Sea in Old Orchard Beach, where we set it up on a deck overlooking the beach for Bruce & Niki’s wedding.

I also hand-painted a big welcome sign to greet their guests—a personal touch to bring it all together. There’s something extra special about seeing wood gathered along the Maine coast become part of a couple’s seaside celebration. 🐚

Congratulations, Bruce & Niki! Thank you for letting Maine Salty Girl be a little part of your big day.

Planning your own coastal wedding? Send me a message about our arch rentals and custom signs!

From the storage barn…to Salty Santa’s workshop…to a little coastal Christmas magic! 🎄🌊

Every one of our smaller driftwood trees begins with me digging through piles of Maine driftwood to find just the right branches. Each piece is carefully chosen, drilled by hand, and arranged until it becomes a perfectly imperfect little tree.

Then comes the best part—adding the lights and decorations and watching it all come to life! ✨

No two trees are ever alike, because the ocean designed every branch long before I got my hands on it. 💙

Who else is ready for a salty little Christmas?

Sometimes all the little details just come together. 💙

I had so much fun hand-painting these sweet little huckleberries on this custom Rannah Way to Maine driftwood sign. 🫐🌿 And then, as if it were meant to be, we dug through our stash of old fishing rope and found a piece that matched the deep berry color perfectly!

Driftwood from the Maine coast, hand-painted huckleberries, and a little piece of old fishing rope with a story of its own… these are the details that make custom pieces my absolute favorite to create.

A little rustic, a little coastal, and very Maine. 🌊💙

There’s something extra special about giving an old piece a new story. 💙

This 6-foot vintage oar already had years of character in the worn wood, so I didn’t want to cover that up. Instead, I hand-painted a little old boat on the blade, letting the weathered wood become part of the artwork.

Here are a few snippets of the painting process—layer by layer, brushstroke by brushstroke. This is still one of my favorite parts of what I do. Give me an old piece of wood, a tiny paintbrush, and a coastal idea, and I’m a happy Salty Girl. 🎨🌊

I love imagining this old oar getting another life hanging in someone’s coastal home.

Old wood. New story. Salty soul. 💙
