Meet Blackie 😻 Blackie could very well be the hardest rehome we will face going ahead 😿
In Cyprus we struggle to sometimes rehome the most picture perfect kittens even, as it really is 'Selling snow to Eskimos'.
However, it shouldn't be that way. Blackie is an absolutely beautiful boy who is incredibly affectionate, despite receiving cruel treatment from humans. He is not diseased - the injuries are suspected attack with some form of acid.
He has left the vet, but he's unfortunately needing to be kept away from the rescuers cats and dogs and has been in a large crate 24/7 for over a month now, as there is no other choice at present.
The rescuer Loizos Solomou has provided amazing care for Blackie at great personal expense and we commend him for doing so. Sadly, whilst Blackie is now safe, he is not leading an enriched life and deserves better - despite the amazing efforts from Loizos - when others walked past, he embraced and gave love.
Someone, somewhere must be able to offer this beautiful boy a forever home(or even temporarily foster him) where he is the only pet(or the adopter has the patience to ensure a very gradual calm introduction to other pets) and can spend the rest of his life getting the attention he loves and seeks out desperately.
We are sure our supporters will agree - If Blackie can't find a forever home in Cyprus and finds one in a different country - we'll all collectively do what we can in order to make it happen.
There HAS to be someone out there who can see past his appearance and wants to show him the love he deserves. Doesn't matter if you can't afford to get him to you - you provide the love - somehow we WILL fund getting him to you! 🌎🛩
