“It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else's foundation.” Romans 15:20
“To be Turkish is to be Muslim.” In Turkey only 0.01% of the population is Christian. Turks pride themselves on their religious culture. According to the Joshua Project Turks are an unreached people group. This means that there is little to no access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ for Turks. There are no Bibles in bookstores, there are no churches around each corner, the government supervises all internet activity, and so forth. The government is secular and so it is legal to be any religion a Turk so decides, but the culture is very anti-Christian. It would take one Christian to share the Gospel with 16,000 Turks for all Turks to hear the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ! Turkey is where much of the first century church was birthed. The Apostle Paul’s missionary journey covered much of modern day Turkey. The ruins are still able to be seen in many of these historic cities.
