I am heading down to the store shortly to set up for our Mother's Day Sidewalk Sale! I think we will just set up in the craft room to avoid any weather issues. We will have our DIY candle bar open during our sidewalk sale as well. Stop by to pour your own candles! I will have pricing available soon.

I have put out this months schedule of classes. There are a few more being added I believe shortly.

I have not booked as many classes this month as we will be focusing on Giroux 2 go this summer! We will have craft kits at local farmers markets and a few select shows. I know everyone’s schedule went nuts lately so I have been trying to evolve to be sure we can sustain our overhead if people are too busy to attend classes right now. Find us at Giroux 2 Go at Ellington Farmers Market on May 18th!

My craft room is always available and I am always available to come in on days off for groups of 3 or more. You just have to let me know a few days in advance so I can make projects for you. Here are all of this months updates!

What happens when you mix wood with fairy dust, Crystals, dried flowers, Czech Glass beads, ink spray, mica powder and iridescent vinyl? Magic! That’s what happens! There are two more versions of this project coming that I am so excited to show you guys!!!!!!

Amy Guindon- Bourget had sent me an idea for magic looking wings and somehow the idea for this project was born. Keep sharing ideas guys!!!

I heard the birds chirping outside the store window while I was working today and just had to share our assortment of Spring items coming in! Half of our space houses 14 local artisans, while the other half houses a craft workshop and crafting kits! We make all of our kits in house on our lasers, and host local artisans who also share our Craft Classroom! We have so many fun classes coming up in March.

Some of you may have seen that Giroux Woodworking is expanding this summer with Giroux To Go mobile crafts! You will find boxed craft kits at 3 local farmers markets as well as at the shop at 35 South Main St. East Windsor. Next to Roberto’s/ The Deli in the little White House.

We are open tomorrow noon-5 and would love to see everyone! Thank you all for helping us bring our daydream to life!

Hello! Long time no post. As many of you know we opened a storefront in September and while are are still TPP LLC on paper, our store is Giroux Woodworking Artisan Boutique & Craft Studio. We have so many new things going on and wanted to invite you all to like our store page to be sure you get the latest updates.

Some of you may have noticed we recently changed the Name of The Playful Peacock page. We have exciting news to share of the next chapter in our crafting adventure. 7 years after the store in Windsor Locks closed, we have been given an amazing opportunity to try again, this time under a different name, Giroux Woodworking.

We have been trying to merge our pages together as we use our other page more often. Another local business opened with a peacock themed name after we closed the WL store so we have decided to go a different direction to avoid brand confusion. We had to change the name of both pages to try to merge and unfortunately it’s not working.

Evening!

We are on our way to Florida to visit family for the week. We have never driven to Fl so this is quite the adventure. We will be back in March! Have a great weekend everyone!
