Archaeological, linguistic, and oral traditions show that several Delta communities were originally Igbo or migrated from the Igbo hinterland (Anambra, Imo, Abia, Enugu) centuries ago — especially through the Aboh, Nri, Oguta, and Ukwuani migration routes.
