One whole year already!
I still can not believe how life changing this experience has been.

It has not been easy.
Sometimes, it hasn't even been that fun.

Some close friends, that successfully own their own businesses, tried to warn me of the changes and commitment and responsibilities and some things to expect, but no one can truly warn you of the hard work and frustration it would take, at times.

Just like when you're a kid, and an adult tells you to enjoy being a kid because being an adult actually sucks.... as a kid you NEVER believe them and think they're crazy for telling you these things. The second you turn into an adult, life kicks in, and you immediately see...they were telling you the truth.
You try hard to explain the same thing to your own kid, and they give you the same look you remember giving your parents.

It's the same theory when owning a business.

It is the most rewarding experience.
I learn something new every single day.
I have been put in my place more than once.
I have struggled more than I'd like to admit.
My pride and ego has been smashed to bits, countless times.
My self-control is put to the test over and over.

Again, I say it has been the most rewarding and life-changing experience.

Beyond my wildest dreams.

I love Jewelry.
I love Gold and Silver.
I love gemstones.
I love learning history of coins.
I love what I do.

The famous quote by Mark Twain says:
"Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

I have found this to be very true. Every day, I wake up and I come to work. Some days are harder than others. Some days I feel like a complete failure. Some days I feel like giving up. Some days I just don't feel good enough, smart enough, responsible enough, organized enough, just enough, period....
But every single day I come in and I just love being at the store.
I love the customers that come in.
I love the excited feeling I get when someone comes in with bags and bags of stuff they need to go through.
I love the feeling I have when I put the inventory in the cases everyday.
I love my life. I love this life.
I love that it never feels like work, it has always felt like a love affair with a super cool hobby.
I love learning new things.
I love the Jeweler I have that teaches me little things, as repairs come in.
I love learning about coins from my coin experts I go to.
I love this life.
I never, in a million years, would have thought I would be here today, but I'm more grateful than anyone could ever imagine.

One year down, I'll continue to pray for many more years to come!!
