In true Pucci Papaleo style we have given this cool and rare Day-date a nickname; The Norwegian President, due to the presence of a very seldom seen and rare Norwegian day disc.
This reference features a bark-effect bezel and centre links of the bracelet. This watch remains in really great condition with a strong case and nice definition on the bezel. The dial is a pie-pan example in champagne white text – it really punches and looks awesome on the wrist.

The Royal Oak 56175TT.O.0789TT.01 Was introduced in 1991 in celebration of Nick Faldo's 1990 win of the Masters Tournament. It features a case & bracelet in tantalum and stainless steel; the screws on the bezel are yellow gold.

The case and bracelet of the watch are crafted from tantalum and stainless steel, offering a distinctive and luxurious aesthetic. Tantalum is a rare, dense, and corrosion-resistant metal, known for its deep blue-gray color. The combination of tantalum and stainless steel creates a visually striking contrast.

In line with the iconic design of the Royal Oak collection, the watch showcases the signature octagonal bezel with exposed screws. However, in this specific model, the screws on the bezel are made of yellow gold, adding an elegant touch of contrast against the tantalum and stainless steel.

As a limited edition watch created in honor of Nick Faldo's achievement, the Royal Oak 56175TT.O.0789TT.01 holds both historical and collectible value. It represents a special moment in the brand's history and combines Audemars Piguet's renowned craftsmanship with a unique and commemorative design.

Please note that the details provided are based on the information you provided, and I'm unable to verify them beyond that. For the most accurate and complete information about this particular watch model, I recommend contacting Audemars Piguet or consulting official sources related to the brand and the Royal Oak collection.

There are few things more exciting for the watch collecting community than a Rolex launch. The speculation builds over the preceding weeks and months whilst forums and social media communities share best-guesses and if-only-they-woulds. This month was no different, with unconfirmed reports of an impending Submariner reboot that were eventually confirmed via the usual Rolex teaser videos on Instagram. And sure enough on the 1st of September we were treated to a remodeled Submariner family, featuring the updated movement, new bigger yet visually smaller case profile and some new colourways. The Submariner was the flagship launch and yet it has been, in some ways, overshadowed by another release. No, we’re not talking about the Sky Dweller on rubber Oysterflex bracelet (although this is a cool looking watch), but rather a new range of Rolex Oyster Perpetual watches. It’s often said in watch collecting that it’s all about the dials. Never has this been truer…
Stella Style
The watches actually launched a little before 11pm UK time on 31st of August, as the watches launched in the Far East at 6.00am. I have to admit that when pictures emerged on Instagram of journalists attending press events, my eyes were immediately drawn to display cabinets filled with watches with colourful dials. My initial thoughts were that Rolex were launching a new Day-Date model and were presenting vintage white gold Day-Dates fitted with so-called Stella dials. What became apparent was that the watches were actually new models…and they were steel!

Secondly, at the beginning of the 1970s the watch industry was in the midst of the Quartz Crisis. Whilst most brands were in freefall panic about the future of the industry, Rolex decided to go fully left-field and keep innovating and developing new ideas and innovations. The Stella dials get their name from the company that provided the pigment and lacquer that was used in these dials. The dials were used from the early 1970s until the 1990s and have now become incredibly desirable and command rocketing prices as such.

The Rolex Daytona is a watch that needs no introduction. It's a classic timepiece that has been coveted by watch enthusiasts for decades. The Daytona was first introduced in 1963 and was designed specifically for racing drivers. Over the years, the watch has undergone several changes and updates, but it has remained a favorite among collectors and watch enthusiasts.

The Rolex Daytona 116500LN was introduced in 2016 and quickly became one of the most sought-after models in the Daytona lineup. The watch features a black ceramic bezel and a stainless steel case, giving it a sleek and modern look. The bezel is engraved with a tachymetric scale, which allows the wearer to calculate average speed over a given distance.

One of the things that make the Daytona 116500LN so appealing is its movement. The watch is powered by Rolex's Caliber 4130, a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement that was specifically designed and manufactured in-house by Rolex. The movement features a column wheel and vertical clutch, ensuring smooth and precise timekeeping.

Another thing that sets the Daytona 116500LN apart from other Daytona models is its waitlist. The watch is so popular that getting your hands on one can be a real challenge. When the watch was first released, the waitlist was several years long, and even today, demand for the watch far exceeds supply.

One of the reasons for the watch's popularity is its design. The black and white color scheme is timeless and versatile, making it easy to wear with a wide range of outfits. The watch also features a classic three-register layout on the dial, with sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, giving it a classic and elegant look.

In terms of price, the Daytona 116500LN is one of the more expensive models in the Daytona lineup. When it was first released, the retail price was around $12,400. However, due to its popularity and scarcity, the watch has held its value exceptionally well and can now fetch upwards of $20,000 or more on the secondary market.

In conclusion, the Rolex Daytona 116500LN is a modern classic that has quickly become one of the most sought-after models in the Daytona lineup. Its sleek design, impressive movement, and scarcity have made it a favorite among collectors and watch enthusiasts. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on one, you won't be disappointed.

Officine Panerai presents three new creations—the Radiomir 8 Days Titanio 45mm; Radiomir 1940 3 Days Acciaio 47mm; and Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days GMT Titanio 44mm—that have a sporty appearance.

A strap of natural brown leather, complete with contrasting beige stitching and embossed with the OP logo, binds the three models.

Officine Panerai Radiomir 8 Days Titanio–45mm:
This watch has the cushion case in brushed titanium, 45 mm in diameter, with the characteristic wire loop strap attachments and the conical winding crown which have been features of this model since it first appeared in 1936.

Overall, the design of the case and dial is minimalist and harmonious, with balanced colours and all indications displayed with exemplary clarity.

Officine Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days Acciaio–47mm:
The case of this watch has the simple, elegant lines of the Radiomir 1940, the lugs being integrated with the case formed from a solid block of AISI 316L stainless steel.

The diameter of 47 mm is that of the historic Panerai models, a tribute to the watches specially made for the commando frogmen of the Royal Italian Navy. The strap is Calf Ponte Vecchio, dark Brown or beige, in 26/22 mm standard size.

Available now: The Rolex Sky-Dweller celebrates a decade in 2022 – ten years of precision, style, and technological prowess. Launched by Rolex in 2012, the Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller is a timepiece built for world travelers, not pilots like the GMT-Master. Purposefully sophisticated and cosmopolitan, Rolex had the rare opportunity to design the Sky-Dweller without historical context or heritage design ties, creating something totally novel and unique for the brand.

The result was a watch with a brand new look and appeal, incredible new functionality, and a large presence, clocking in at 42mm. At the time, the world was also shocked by the Sky-Dweller’s uncharacteristically complex dial, despite the fact that the dual time zone was as intuitive as it was easy to use.

Over its short history, the Sky-Dweller has seen some adjustments and upgrades. However, Rolex is still very much writing history with this one, as we’re still only in the first generation. To best explore how the Sky-Dweller has evolved over its first decade, we’ll look at the three upgrades presented since its debut in 2012.

Embodying the historic bond between Rolex and motor sport, which was strengthened in 2013 by Rolex’s entry into the world of Formula 1 racing as Global Partner and Official Timepiece, the original Rolex Daytona was introduced in 1963 as the Rolex ‘Cosmograph’ Daytona. The gorgeous watch still remains one of the most iconic watches, which gave birth to numerous catalogues of highly collectible pieces over the years. This Motorsport and racing-themed watch series had been christened to pay tribute to the Daytona Beach in Florida, which is a mecca of motorsport and home to the legendary NASCAR speedway.

These Rolex watches soon became very popular in the racing community owing to their functionality when calculating average lap speeds accurately down to the seconds using its trademark tachymeter bezel.

Designed to meet the demands of professional racing drivers, the chronograph is equipped with calibre 4130 and a self-winding mechanical movement. Featuring fewer components than a standard chronograph, its sleek and symmetric architecture thereby enhances the movement’s reliability.

This iconic partnership between British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood and Swatch was formed back in 1992 and 1993. While the original launch of the POP Swatch collection took place in 1986, it was dubbed the ‘Orb’ once Westwood gave the watch a royal yet playful makeover.

Crafted with the legendary designer’s signature punk and new wave aesthetics, the watches look like a cross between a golden medal and a Pokémon ball, making it one of the most special and quirky brand collaborations of all time. The Pop Swatch Art Special ‘Orb’ debuted at her ‘Prêt-à-Porter’ or ready-to-wear show in Paris, France. With inventive packaging and design, the black silhouette of the watch was embellished with a gold, Victoria cross.

Westwood presented another iteration of her Pop Swatch series named ‘Putti’ in 1993 exuding an autumn-coloured theme and the dreamy quality of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel.

The exclusive Gucci Dive watch was produced as part of a collaboration between the gaming league and eSports entertainment brand Fnatic and the luxury fashion house Gucci, designed to appeal to

Patek Philippe introduced the ref. 3940 perpetual calendar in 1985, a true grand complication and their response to the quartz crisis. Interesting it was released alongside ref. 3970, a chronograph perpetual calendar, and is recognized as one of Pateks most important pieces in their modern history. The ref. 3940 production spanned 3 decades making it one of the longest production models in their history, 1985 to 2007. At its launch the ref. 3940 was exclusively available in yellow gold and was later made in rose gold, white gold, and platinum.

Most famously the ref. 3940 was worn daily by no other than Philippe Stern, father of current Patek Philippe CEO Thierry Stern.

Interestingly this incredible historic piece is still ‘relatively’ affordable compared to its modern counterparts however it has been gaining more and more attention throughout the watch community as of late 2019 early 2020… and rightly so.
