Behind the scenes at the bench today, batching the foundations for a new series of chandelier earrings.

Every pair starts here—shaping, sizing, and work-hardening the frames on the bench block to ensure they are structurally sound before any stones are introduced. The real challenge (and fun) of creating complex earrings is the symmetry; matching the exact dimensions of the frames is just as critical as pairing up the gemstones that will eventually hang from them.
No shortcut for hand-formed details.

WIP: 250 carats of gem-grade Morganite.💖

Pulled this graduated strand straight from the top shelf of my main supplier’s case a decade ago and tucked it away in the vault. When beryl is this clean and large, it’s almost always faceted for rings—finding precision-cut rondelles with this level of crystal clarity and natural pastel saturation is incredibly rare.

I’ve been waiting years for the absolute perfect pairing to give it the fluid drape and framing it deserves. Today, it’s finally happening with micro-faceted white topaz spacers.
