Larimar! Larimar has been on my mind. I guess because 4 years ago this month they had to close the mine due to fatal accidents. When they announced “indefinitely” I was double concerned. First for those and their families who lost their life and sure didn’t want to loose the only source for Larimar. But made it safe enough to mine again and opened back up sooner than I expected. A one source stone is always a great gift for any occasion or just because it’s one of the most beautiful and rare. It’s definitely a great gift to add to a personal collection. I’ll probably quit selling mine if I sell down to just a few pieces. Have to keep some to pass on for my family. Even though I have given them one piece each so far.🩵

This crystal mimics the ocean when in water! Like the waves moving in when the water is in motion. Many vendors demonstrate this at the shows. I had to ask “why do you have pieces of Larimar in water? Then he moved the tub and .i could see. Kind of cool and does it answer the question do crystals hold memory? Does water hold memory? I’m not a doubter!🌊

Larimar is an investment. I feel all Crystals are, as is silver and gold. But when it’s a one source mineral, it’s a good investment. And if it’s jewelry, you can wear it. Larimar has the water frequency of Atlantis. Larimar is one that I consider a must for the jewelry collector. Or Crystal collector. It being a one source mineral and unless more is found, it could mine out like some of the other one source minerals. It will still be around but even more rare. It’s pricy now compared to many and seems to vary a lot from year to year. Seems more so in rough pieces.

In 2022 the mine closed temporarily because of the dangerous conditions. But they soon were able to start the mining process again.
