Hi everyone! A school near my work - John Muir Literacy Academy is looking for help to build their candy stash for the Annual Trunk or Treat event at the school this month. This school is located in Hoffman Estates and serves the most at-risk students in the area. It's a fabulous school with caring teachers and administrators. This amazing lady. . . Irene Rozansky, brought Threads Worldwide into my life at a time when my hope and faith were at an all-time low. Erich Djordjevic was in hospice and Irene showed up with her beautiful smile and her positive attitude to lift me up and show me that life continues despite hard and scary circumstances.

Today, she is fighting her own battle with breast cancer. Our Threads Worldwide family is rallying around her, behind her, under her - and praying over her for a complete recovery. Irene is one of the STRONGEST women I know. I believe with all my heart she will conquer this cancer and be stronger than ever.

To financially support Irene's journey, the Threads Worldwide family has created a special bracelet called "Courage for Irene". These bracelets have been specially designed with her in mind and to honor all of the women before her and after her who have battled or will battle breast cancer.

If you have experienced breast cancer, know someone who has, or know Irene Rozansky IRL, please consider purchasing a bracelet. Proceeds will help offset medical costs and other living expenses Irene will incur during treatment. Did you know? The Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County will celebrate 35 years of service this year? That's 35 YEARS of helping children to heal from child sexual and physical abuse in 38 communities throughout the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago. Individual donations and grants make it possible for the CAC to do its work.

In 2022/2023 the CAC conducted 445 forensic interviews. That's 445 individual stories of trauma and abuse. The CAC is a safe place for children to tell their experiences and begin to heal.

In honor of the CAC's birthday, I am asking everyone to purchase a "Be Brave" bracelet. The bracelets are $25 each (plus $6.95 shipping) or you can purchase 4 bracelets for $100 (free shipping!)

When people ask you about the bracelet you can tell them how important the CAC is to our community and how brave these children and families are who come forward to tell their story.
