The past few years have brought many unexpected turns—some painful, many beautiful—and each has helped shape the story behind Beetle Bee Designs 🐞🐝

Dreaming Of The Ocean And Tide Pools!

I love tide pools and we have an abundance of them here in the PNW 🌊

These Tidepool Whispers earring were inspired by just that — delicate open circle studs I hand-forged from raw bronze, finished with real arca shells, strawberry quartz, and amazonite 🌊🍓🩵

Dreamy amazonite reflective of the water that surrounds us. This stone is also known as the “stone of truth” or the “stone of harmony”. The color definitely makes me feel harmonious!

Strawberry quartz represents the red rocks and sea plants present around the pools. This stone symbolically associated with love and grounding. If you hold this stone in the light, you will see little fleks that resemble the flesh of a 🍓

Shells are one of the oldest used forms of adornment – They have many representations but most often are symbolic of the life cycles, renewal and rebirth 🐚

Finally Bronze, one of my favorite metals is historically associated with strength and endurance 💪🏼

Playful, feminine, and inspired by the sea 🌊🐚 🦪

I hand-forged these open hoop earrings from raw USA bronze, then adorned them with natural pink freshwater pearls, aquamarine, and tiny real shells — each one unique and holds a part of the Earth's energy 💖

Pearls have long symbolized intuition and divine feminine energy, while aquamarine has roots in ancient sailor lore — believed to calm the spirit and protect travelers!

P.s. Pearls are one of the official birthstones for June 😘

Clark Lake Moments 🌿

A little photo + video dump from our recent afternoon at Clark Lake — just before we all came down with a cold 😅

The trails were peaceful, the flowers were in full bloom, and we had so many tiny encounters with nature 🌸🌾

Happy Mother’s Day to All the Amazing Moms!

Wishing a beautiful Mother’s Day to all the moms and those filling the role 💕

I lost my mom when I was young and grew up mostly with my dad, but I was blessed with motherly figures along the way 🥹 Dina became my bonus mom 15 years ago and now shares this little artistic venture with my dad and me 🥰

Becoming a mom myself has been so humbling—especially with my daughter, who’s super active, always on the go, day and night! It’s a blessing and a constant learning experience 💃🏼

Something that keeps us both grounded is getting outside - We take nature walks around the neighborhood quite frequently 🌺🌺🌺🌺 It's my favorite activity to do with my family by far!

If I were asked to pick one area of nature that inspires me most, I don’t think I could! The tiny details of flowers, the life bursting under the water—whether in the ocean or around a stream—and all the surrounding fauna… I’m in awe of it all 🥹

Happy Earth Day 🌎🌍💚

As many of you know, a majority of my inspiration comes from nature and the intricacies found within it 🌿

Today I was blessed to be able to take an almost eight mile walk around the neighborhood and on a local trail 🐝

To celebrate I tried to photograph every flower I saw - My first post attempt vanished 😬 so these aren't labeled however I hope you enjoy them 🥹

My daughter thinks the tall white flower stalks of Otto Luyken smell like fresh tortillas!
